After many years in Ohio, Kathleen decided to make a change and move to the West Coast. As Director of Marketing, she established an Oakland Bay area law firm focused on tax-deferred exchanges. She managed partnership agreements with real estate brokers, CPAs, financial advisers, and local chambers of commerce. As an expert in tax-deferred exchanges, she often conducted seminars and presentations on the west coast and in various cities throughout the U.S. on the subject. A two-time Cancer Survivor, Kathleen is Regional Vice President of the U.S. Coalition of Black Women Businesses, CEO of Broken Crayons Still Coloring,  and President | CEO of Community Reinvestment Coalition – Englewood SW collaborating with communities that desire health, social and economic equity.

Through urban strategies, leadership, and training initiatives, she embraces transformative change in local communities while increasing the quality of life, through workforce development collaborations in the community, and regional partnerships, in spaces where diversity, equity, inclusion & justice include residents, civics, the public, and the private sector.
