Congratulations to three remarkable Black women entrepreneurs: To one of our Leadership Team La’Shawn Allen-Muhammad, from Central Brooklyn Economic Development Corp.; and our members Dionne Grayman, co-founder of We Run Brownsville; and Ericka Keller. Their outstanding expertise and contributions have made them integral to the major construction project in Brownsville, which is set to commence soon. Dr. Ram Raju

Ram Raju, MD, is a healthcare executive with a strong dedication to social equity and improving the health of underserved communities. He has held leadership roles in various health systems and organizations, working to promote diversity, eliminate health disparities, and collaborate with community-based organizations to address community health needs.


Dr. Jo-Anne Rolle
 Dr. Jo-Ann Rolle is a renowned economist with a PhD from Howard University and has served as the Dean of the School of Business at Medgar Evers College, CUNY. With a successful career in academia, government, and business, she has been recognized for her leadership and community service, and is actively involved in various organizations and boards. 

As the recent Affirmative Action ruling takes center stage, two prominent voices, Dr. Ram Raju and Dr. Jo-Anne Rolle, share their insights on its potential impact on society.


The Affirmative Action ruling sparks critical conversations about social justice, equality, and the role of the government in addressing historical injustices. While it presents challenges and complexities, they see it as an opportunity to reevaluate and improve existing policies to achieve a more equitable future for all.
