Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision, applies standard procedures and working knowledge to perform a variety of tasks involving the verification of component part numbers and inserts components into small assemblies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs related duties as assigned.  Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stretch, bend, kneel and stoop.  The employee is regularly required to walk, communicate, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using appropriate moving devices.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to solder, fluxes, cleaners, epoxies, and masking agents while using appropriate personal protective equipment.  Works in a temperature controlled environment.  The noise level in the environment is usually low to moderate.

Critical Skills:

Subject Matter Understanding.  Inspecting/Examining.  Electrical/Electronic.  Housekeeping.  Troubleshooting.  Equipment Operation.  Problem Solving.

Job Qualifications:

Required:  High School Diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED).  Ability to read instructions, work orders and blue prints. Must pass the ATF Background check.

Preferred:  2 years’ experience assembling/soldering in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to soldering under a microscope.
